Zinck, a fifth-year guard from Halifax, helped the ’Canes pick up a pair of lopsided victories during the weekend over the Crandall Chargers and Mount Saint Vincent Mystics.
On Saturday, in a 109-49 victory romp of the Chargers, Zinck recorded 21 points, including five three-pointers, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal. In Sunday’s 78-55 win over the Mystics, who entered play ranked third in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, Zinck recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. She also had two assists and two steals.
Zinck, a practical nursing student, logged big minutes all against the opponent’s starting forwards and was able to shut them down.
The women’s Hurricanes currently have a record of 8-1 and sit in first place in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA).

In Saturday’s 104-98 win over the Chargers, Burdine recorded 28 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. In a 101-97 win Sunday over the Mystics, Burdine scored 14 points in the first quarter, helping the ’Canes to a 34-9 lead. Burdine finished with 27 points, including six three-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one block.
Burdine is studying in the heritage retrofit carpentry program.
The Hurricanes have a record of 9-0 and sit in first place in the ACAA.
