OSAKA, JAPAN – Martin Sobey finished 13th overall and was the top Canadian at the recent Sprint Triathlon Asian Cup race in Osaka, Japan.
Sobey, a Charlottetown native, crossed the finish line in a time of 57 minutes and nine seconds, two minutes and 37 seconds behind winner Takumi Hojo of Japan.
Next, he heads to Europe for World Cup races over the next four weeks before returning to Canada to prepare for nationals in Kelowna, B.C., in August.
