CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes volleyball teams play host to the UNBSJ Seawolves for four games this weekend in Charlottetown.

Today, the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) matches go at 6 p.m. for the women and 8 p.m. for the men. Sunday games are at noon for the women and 2 p.m. for the men.

The men’s Hurricanes (8-1) enter the weekend in first place in the ACAA, while UNBSJ (6-3) is second as the teams battle for top spot in the conference.

The ‘Canes lead the season series 2-0.

Brett Butler leads the conference in kills (103) and kills per set (3.32), while Tyler Lahaise is leading with a .253 hitting percentage.

Nathan Archibald leads the ACAA in assists per set at 8.21.

The women’s Hurricanes (9-3) sit fourth in the ACAA. UNBSJ (10-4) is in a tie for second.

In the only match between these two teams this season the Hurricanes earned the four-set victory. This weekend’s games are the final meeting between the teams this season.

Megan LeBlanc leads the ACAA in kills (132) and kills per set (3.38), Dana Trainor leads the conference in digs (149) and digs per set (3.82) and Brittany States is tops in hitting percentage (.335).

Gracie Ferguson leads the conference in assists per set (7.44).
