CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The P.E.I. Mudmen A and B division sides are close to securing home-field advantage as the Rugby Nova Scotia senior men’s playoffs loom after recent road wins in Enfield, N.S.

In the first division game, the Mudmen dominated from kickoff in a hard-hitting match for a 59-21 victory while in the second division P.E.I. used depth and quick ball movement to control the Enfield second side en route to a 73-22 win.

Both Mudmen squads moved to 6-0 in their respective standings.

The squads close out the regular season Saturday in Nova Scotia when the B side faces the division-leading Halifax Tars (6-0-1) in Halifax (winner gets home-field advantage throughout the playoffs) and the A side faces Halifax RFC (3-3). A win grants the Mudmen home field in the post-season. Game times are 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
