CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Charlottetown Rugby Football Club (CRFC) defeated the Halifax Tars 45-17 Monday to remain undefeated in Rugby Nova Scotia tier A senior women’s action.

The win improves the Island squad’s record to 7-0 while the Tars (5-2) lost to CRFC for the second time this season.

Halifax took a 12-7 lead in the first half, but it quickly turned into a deficit as Alysha Corrigan scored her second of four trys on the day and booted the convert to give the home side the 14-12 advantage.

Scrum half Emily Keen scored a try to give CRFC a 19-12 halftime lead.

Terrisa Lynch added two tries in the second half and Corrigan hit three of her five converts in the second half as CRFC clinched victory.
