‘Canes, Rams play back-to-back games

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes and Dal-AC Rams tangle in a two-game, home-and-home set this weekend in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) women’s volleyball action.

The ‘Canes host the Rams Saturday in Charlottetown at 1 p.m., then Holland College travels to Bible Hill, N.S., on Sunday for the second game. Start time is 2 p.m.

The Hurricanes (7-3) enter the weekend in fourth place in the ACAA standings while the Rams (1-9) sit in seventh.

The Hurricanes trail Mount Saint Vincent (10-0), and St. Thomas and UNBSJ Seawolves, both 8-4, in the standings.

Holland College won the first meeting with the Rams in straight sets.

Hurricanes second-year player Megan LeBlanc leads the ACAA in kills per set (3.09) and kills (102), while Dana Trainor leads in digs per set (3.70) and digs (122).

Brittany States leads the ACAA in hitting percentage (.353) while Gracie Ferguson is tops in assists per set with 7.12.
