CARDIGAN, P.E.I. – Jason MacLean struck out eight batters en route to a complete-game, four-hit win as the Northside Gill Construction Brewers defeated the Cardigan Clippers 4-1 in Kings County Baseball League action Wednesday in Cardigan.

MacLean also helped his cause with a double to cash in the Brewers first run of the game.

Northside’s Jamie Arsenault and Patrick Young each had two hits as the Brewers scored all their runs in the first three inning.

Charles MacLellan drew the complete-game loss for the Clippers. Quinn Hughes had two of Cardigan’s four hits.

The Brewers play next versus the Athletics in Stratford on Sunday. Game time is 2 p.m. at MacNeill Field.
