STRATFORD, P.E.I. - The Northside Gill Construction Brewers broke a scoreless game in the fourth inning with one run and ran away to a 5-0 win over The Alley Stratford Athletics to open the Kings County Baseball League final Sunday in Stratford.

Stratford lead the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game 2 is Wednesday, at 8 p.m., in Morell.

The A’s added another run in the fifth and capped the scoring with three more in the top of the seventh.

Jordan Stevenson pitched a complete game four-hitter with six strikeouts for the win. 

Nigel Fisher led the Brewer bats, going 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored and plating the first run of the game on a passed ball.

Bryan Linton had a pinch hit two-run single in the seventh and scored on a Mitch Ryan single.

Johnnie Arsenault suffered the complete game loss for the A’s. Grant Grady had two hits while Ryne McIsaac and Randy Taylor had the others.
