MacKay's hat trick sparks Matrix

CORNWALL - Zac MacKay's natural hat trick sparked the Robins Mid-Isle Matrix on Tuesday night.
MacKay scored the game's first three goals, and the Matrix never looked back en route to a 5-3 decision over the Central Attack in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League.
Zach Wilson scored the other two goals for league-leading Mid-Isle, which improved to 8-2-1 (won-lost-tied). Ben Peters (2), Nic Havenga, Colin Goodwin, Kyler Weeks, Nathan Mahar, David Sato and Lucas Buch collected assists.
Braden Donnolly (1-1), Kyle Martin and Matthew McAulay replied for the Attack (4-7-0). Patrick Young, Nicholas Brown, Emmett Lyons and Joseph Hood collected helpers.
The Matrix held period leads of 2-0 and 4-2.
Winning goaltender was Matt Jelley. Matthew Halliwell tended goal for the Attack.
