Argyle Shore native Katie Baker was inducted into the Cornwall Hall of Fame during a ceremony Saturday in the town’s newly renovated civic centre.
Welcoming Baker into the Hall of Fame is Corey Frizzell, deputy mayor and chair of the town's parks and recreation committee.
Baker’s achievements include 2003 Canadian Interuniversity Sport first team all-Canadian, 2009 Sport P.E.I. Female Athlete of the Year, 2009 and 2011 Pan American elite team and captain of the Canadian women’s national field hockey team.
Baker joins Jared Connaughton and Adam McQuaid in the Hall of Fame, which is located in the Terry Fox Sports Complex clubhouse.
