NANAIMO, B.C. – It was not the start the Holland College Hurricanes were looking for Wednesday at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association men’s soccer championship in Nanaimo, B.C.
The Keyano College Huskies scored two second half goals to defeat the Hurricanes 2-0 and advance to the semifinal.
Full back Harrison Ellison was the Hurricanes player of the game.
Holland College struggled to produce quality-scoring opportunities in the match and will look to get the offence going today when they play the Algonquin Thunder at 2 p.m. Atlantic. A win today keeps the ’Canes chances for a bronze medal alive while a loss will put them in a placement game.
