CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes women’s ringette team travel to Dartmouth, N.S., this weekend to compete in the university division of the Harbour City tournament running through Sunday.
Holland Colleges opens up its tournament versus Saint Mary’s University Huskies today at 5 p.m.
The Hurricanes play four round-robin games with the top two teams advancing to the championship game Sunday at 4:15 p.m.
Hurricanes forward Isabelle Saunders is fired up for the weekend.
“We've been practising some different plays and we've also been conditioning hard, which I think will help us a lot with the amount of games we have to play this weekend,” said the computer networking technology student. “I think that playing in a tournament will bring excitement and even more of a competitive drive to our team. The team has the potential to do very well this weekend, we just have to go and play our game.”
The ‘Canes second round-robin game tonight at 9 p.m., versus the Acadia Axewomen. On Saturday, Holland College faces the Huskies at 1 p.m. and the Axewomen at 8 p.m.
