CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Carly Thompson scored twice, including the game-winning goal, Sunday to lead the Mid Isle Wildcats to a 3-2 victory over the Central Storm in the Prince Edward Island bantam AAA female hockey championship final.

The Wildcats lead the best-of-five series 2-1 with Game 4 slated for Tuesday in Crapaud beginning at 7:40 p.m.

Shaelynn McCardle also scored in the victory at Cody Banks Arena while Harlee Bradley and Chloe McCabe replied for Central.

Mya Moffatt earned the win while Frankie Hancock took the loss.
