The Sherbrooke Phoenix traded Anderson MacDonald to the Hub City on Thursday for Jeremy Jacques and first-round picks in 2018 and 2019. The teams will also swap second-round selections in the 2019 draft.

MacDonald, a six-foot-two, 203-pound left-winger from Quispamsis, N.B., scored 29 goals and added 12 assists for 41 points in 50 games last season. The Phoenix drafted him 10th overall at the 2016 draft in Charlottetown.

Jacques is a six-foot-one, 176-pound defenceman from Cap-Santé, Que. He was taken in the second round (23rd overall) of the 2017 draft.

The Charlottetown Islanders traded defenceman Tyler Dam, 17, to Moncton for a 12th-round pick in 2020. Dam, a Cambridge, Ont., native, was invited to the Isles training camp after playing for the Waterloo Siskins of the GOJHL last season.
