ROUYN-NORANDA, QUE. – Hunter Drew scored the winner six minutes into the third period Friday as the Charlottetown Islanders defeated the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 2-1.

Keith Getson had a goal and an assist while Pascal Aquin also had a helper for the visiting Isles.

Peter Abbandonato from Rafael Harvey-Pinard had the Huskies goal in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League contest.

Matthew Welsh made 37 saves while Samuel Harvey stopped 35 shots in the loss.

The Huskies led 1-0 after the first period while the game was tied 1-1 after two periods.

The Islanders improved to 30-21-4-0 while the Huskies fall to 32-16-5-3. Charlottetown complete its three-game road trip Saturday at 8 p.m. Atlantic at Val-d’Or.
