Weather disrupts IJHL, junior C hockey schedule in P.E.I.

Four hockey games in P.E.I. scheduled for Sunday have been postponed due to the snow storm.

Two of those games are in the Island Junior Hockey League – Sherwood at Kensington and Montague at Western. The Kensington-Sherwood game has been rescheduled for Community Gardens on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. The Montague-Western contest will be rescheduled at a later date.

Two playoff games in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League have been called off.

Those games were to feature Tignish at Souris and Sherwood at North River.

Tignish and Souris will play Game 2 of the best-of-five quarter-final series in Tignish on Monday at 7:15 p.m., and Souris will host Games 3 and 4, if necessary. Souris won the series opening in overtime on Friday night, the teams were scheduled to play Game 3 in Tignish on Monday.

Sherwood and North River will play Game 2 at the Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown on Monday at 8:35 p.m. Sherwood leads that series 1-0.
