Hockey P.E.I. has announced the province’s under-16 roster for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Gatorade Excellence Challenge.

The four Atlantic branches and two teams from Hockey Quebec will compete May 1 to 4 in Blainville-Boisbriand, Que. 

Players will also participate in the Under Armour Combine (on/off-ice testing) on Wednesday, April 30. Games will begin on Thursday, May 1 and conclude on Sunday, May 4.

The goalies are Liam Jay and Ethan Malcolm, both from Charlottetown.

The defencemen are Jesse Annear, Lower Montague; Lucas Beaulieu, Borden-Carleton; Dawson Grenier, Souris; Calen MacInnis, New Haven; Conor MacEachern, Charlottetown; and Conor MacIntyre, Cardigan.

The forwards are Colton Chaisson, St. Louis; Alex Hambly, Stratford; Hunter McIntyre, Kilmuir; Brendan Shea, Alberton; Austin Taylor, Summerside; Dylan Wheatley, Cornwall; Riley Gallant and Kyle Pinksen, both of Kensington, and Charlottetown’s Jordon Birt, Nick Currie, Jordan McCabe and Riley Smith.

The coaches are Kyle Dunn, Charlottetown; and Gerald MacNeill, Alliston. Charlottetown’s Cory Gaudet is an assistant coach, Cornwall’s Grant Boswall is the equipment manager while Charlottetown’s Derek Quinn is the director of operations.
