The 2002 P.E.I. Riptide defeated the New Brunswick Ice 7-2 in the final of the 2015 New England spring challenge hockey tournament held recently in Boston, Mass.

The squad defeated North Carolina 6-5 in a shootout following two overtimes in the semifinals to reach the final.

P.E.I. went 3-1 in the round robin, defeating three Boston teams and losing to North Carolina.

Next, the Riptide play in the Future Stars Cup tournament in Halifax, N.S., over the Victoria Day weekend.
