Parkman named NESCAC women's hockey player of the week

CLINTON, N.Y. – Stratford’s Katie Parkman is the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women’s hockey player of the week.

Parkman is in her fourth and final season at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.

She had two goals and an assist as the Continentals completed their first season sweep of Amherst College since 2002-03.

Parkman scored with 1:46 left and 33 seconds remaining in the third period of Friday's 3-2 overtime win. She had an assist on Hamilton's goal in Saturday's 1-0 victory.

The Continentals have set a program record with 14 wins this season.

Parkman is fourth in the conference with 21 points, tied for sixth with nine goals and tied for fourth with 12 assists. She has 31 goals and 33 assists for 64 points in 79 career games.

Parkman received NESCAC player of the week award in January 2015.

Hamilton (14-6-2) is ranked eighth in this week's USCHO.com Division III top-10 poll.
