Panthers lose in shootout to Dal in women's hockey

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the UPEI Panthers 2-1 in a shootout Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

Corrinne Desjardins scored an unassisted goal for the Tigers in the first period while Sydnee Baker tied it in the third. Emma Martin drew the lone assist.

Mati Barrett made 21 stops for the Tigers while Marie-Soleil Deschenes made 24 saves for the Panthers.

Dalhousie improved to 2-11-1 while UPEI is 9-5-1.

The Panthers are scheduled to host St. FX Sunday at 2 p.m.
