LeBlanc, Laybolt engage in goaltending duel

CRAPAUD – It was an old-fashioned goaltending duel at the South Shore Actiplex on Friday night.

Zack LeBlanc stopped all 30 shots he faced to backstop the Fredericton Caps to a 2-0 win over the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League.
Pride goaltender Noah Laybolt also had a strong game as he stopped 29 of 30 shots.
LeBlanc and Laybolt kept the game scoreless until Cole Easton’s game-winning goal at 10:49 of the third period. Brady Patterson’s empty-net goal with 59 seconds remaining sealed the win as the Caps improved to 11-12-0 (won-lost-overtime losses).

The Caps are scheduled to host the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild (8-13-3) on Sunday at 3 p.m.
