POWNAL – Grant Koughan was the overtime hero for the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils on Tuesday night.

Koughan, who was set up by Nick Steele, scored his third goal of the night at 11:32 of the second extra period to send the Red Devils to a 4-3 win over the Kings County Kings in Game 5 of the best-of-five semifinal series in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League. The Red Devils, who finished the regular season in second place, will now face the first-place Robin's Mid-Isle Matrix in the best-of-five championship series.
At the Pownal Sports Centre, the Red Devils led 2-0 after one period, and extended that margin to 3-1 in the middle frame. However, the Kings answered back to tie the game 3-3 before the second intermission.
Noah Morrison also scored for the Red Devils, who received other assists from Steele, Jack Triantafflou, Michael Gallant and Dawson Palmer.
Matthan Runighan (1-1), Jacob MacEachern (1-1) and Lucas MacAulay countered for the Souris-based Kings. Single helpers went to Tyson McInnis, Jacob MacPhee and Reid Peardon.
Trevor Whalen earned the goaltending win. Ben Bruce was between the pipes for Kings County.
