CHARLOTTETOWN – Keith Getson scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Charlottetown Islanders the sweep of a home-and-home series with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The final score of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game, played before 2,070 fans at Eastlink Centre, was 4-3.

Sam King (2) and Adam Marsh scored in regulation time for the Islanders, who defeated the Titan 4-3 in Bathurst, N.B., on Friday night. Liam Murphy, Jeffery-Truchon-Viel and Antoine Moran answered for the Titan.

Islanders goaltender Matthew Welsh made 40 saves on 43 shots while the Titan’s Dominik Tmej stopped 28 of 31 shots through regulation and overtime.

Defenceman Noah Dobson of Summerside was one of three shooters for the Titan in the shootout.

The Islanders are now 3-6-1-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses), and the Titan is 4-3-2-2.
