VAL-D'OR, QUE. – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League suspended Val-d’Or Foreurs defenceman David Henley for seven games for a checking from behind penalty in a game against the Quebec Remparts before the Christmas break.

Henley, traded two seasons ago to Val-d‘Or from the Charlottetown Islanders, was accessed a five-minute major and game misconduct on the play.
The 20-year-old was out for the final game before the break and won’t return to Val-d‘Or’s lineup until Jan. 11 versus Shawinigan.
He served a six-game suspension for similar offence in November.
