“It’s going to be a good game,” said Team Canada rookie Liam Hickey. “It’s always a good game, Canada and the USA.”
Game time is 7 p.m. at MacLauchlan Arena.
Both teams are 2-0 and will complete the round-robin play tonight at the four-team competition.
Canada outscored Norway and Korea by a combined score of 13-1 while the Americans outscored them 12-0.
Canadian head coach Ken Babey said his team will have to play a disciplined and structured game.
“I think it sets up for a fast, high-paced game,” he said.
“We’re going to have to be at the best of our game, and I think our guys are ready for that challenge.”
Canada is healthy heading into tonight’s game.
Babey credited the work of the medical and support staff, plus the dedication of the Canadian players to be in good shape for the tournament.
Summerside native Billy Bridges didn’t play in Monday’s contest, but Babey said it was a matter of trying to get all 20 players game action.
“We didn't bring guys here to sit in the stands, so we’re trying to find ways to get guys into the lineup, and Billy has had a lot of games under his belt” during his career, he said Tuesday. “Billy will be back in tomorrow against the U.S.”
Hickey said Canada has moved on from its first two games and is focused squarely on the Americans.
“We're not leaving anything in the gas tank.”
