QUEBEC CITY, QUE. – The Sherwood Parkdale Falcons finished second at the Quebec International Peewee Hockey Tournament on Sunday.
The Connecticut Junior Rangers defeated the Falcons, who were representing the Charlottetown Islanders at the tournament, 5-2 in the championship game at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.
Brendan Giles scored 33 seconds into the game for the Rangers, who made it 2-0 midway through the second on Luke Drury’s goal.
Giles made it 3-0 2:37 into the third before Easton Fitzpatrick and Thatcher Hughes scored 1:08 apart for the Falcons to make it 3-2 with about 14 minutes to play.
Jack Neal scored a minute later to make it 4-2 and Sam Tsao rounded out the scoring four minutes later.
Victor Steele and Connor Pierce had assists for the Falcons.
Ethan Fehrenbaker and James Heber were the Rangers goalies while Shannon MacDonald was in the Falcons crease.
