Dobson records two points as Titan defeats Armada to take 2-1 series lead

BATHURST, N.B. – Summerside’s Noah Dobson had two assists Tuesday as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan defeated the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 5-2 in Game 3 of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final.

The Titan leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 going tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Bathurst, N.B.

German Rubstov, Olivier Galipeau, Antoine Morand, Samuel L’Italien and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel scored for the Titan. Galipeau had two assists while former Charlottetown Islanders forward Mitchell Balmas, Adam Holwell, Justin Ducharme and Morand all had an assist.

Joel Teasdale and Alex Barre-Boulet scored for the Armada with assists to Drake Batherson, Pascal Corbeil, Charles-Antoine Giguere and Antoine Crete-Belzile.

Evan Fitzpatrick made 26 saves for the win while Emile Samson stopped 28 shots in the loss.

The Titan held 2-0 and 3-2 period leads and went 2-for-4 on the power play and scored shorthanded.
