CHARLOTTETOWN – The Central Attack scored two goals in each period en route to securing a spot in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League championship series.

The Attack, behind AJ Cooper’s shutout goaltending, blanked the Mid-Isle Matrix 6-0 on Saturday afternoon to sweep the best-of-five semifinal series. Central will await the winner of the series between the Prince County Warriors and Eastern Express. Eastern will take a 2-1 lead into Game 4 in O’Leary on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

At Simmons Sport Centre, Landon MacDonald had two goals and an assist and Reid Vos netted a brace to lead the Attack. Alex Graham (1-1) and Tanner MacLean rounded out Central’s scoring. Josh Lund (2), Colby Huggan (2), Niklas Reeves, John MacKinnon and Jacob Squires chipped in with assists.
