CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – P.E.I. Rocket fan favourite Jimmy Bonneau will be an assistant coach in the AHL this season.
San Jose Barracuda, the farm team of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, recently announced the Baie-Comeau, Que., native and Michael Chiasson will join head coach Roy Sommer’s staff. The new assistants both recently worked in the Sharks scouting department.

We're excited to have them join the Barracuda coaching staff.”
Bonneau worked as a scout for two seasons after playing 11 years in the AHL and ECHL.
Bonneau, 33, played the first two seasons the Rocket was in Charlottetown. He had 41 points and 497 penalty minutes in 140 career games with the P.E.I. squad.
