Orwell’s Kris MacDonald has been hired as an assistant coach with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

“(I'm) very excited to be back with the @ABTitan as an assistant coach,” he said Tuesday on Twitter. “Looking forward to getting to Bathurst and getting to work.”

He will replace Kevin Desrochers behind the bench.

MacDonald played with the P.E.I. Rocket in 2004-05 and the Titan in 2005-06 season. The left-winger played with the University of Acadia from 2007-10 and completed his university career with UPEI in 2010-11.

He coached midget AAA in Saskatchewan at the Notre-Dame College last year while teaching math, history and Christian ethics.
