RIVER GLADE, N.B. – Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, N.S., won the first stop of the season on the Parts For Trucks Maritime Pro Stock Tour Saturday night at Petty International Raceway in River Glade, N.B.
Blenkhorn held off Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, N.S.) on numerous restarts, including the final one with seven laps remaining, to win the Lucas Oil 150. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) finished third after fending off late challenges from Cornwall’s Dylan Gosbee and defending series champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, N.S.).
Charlottetown’s Darren Mackinnon, Westmoreland’s Kent Vincent, Cory Hall (Jolicure, N.B.) and Blenkhorn all picked up wins in the 10-lap Atlantic Tiltload heat races.
The race was slowed by 14 caution periods and took two hours and 27 minutes to complete.
The tour heads to Scotia Speedworld Saturday for the Cummins 150. Grandstands open at 1 p.m. with Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races getting underway at 4 p.m.
