Hurricanes football club holds spring training camp

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes football club, three-time winner of the Atlantic Football League’s Moosehead Cup championship, will hold a spring camp April 28-30.

Prospects playing high school and varsity football 15-years-old and older are welcome.

The camp starts on Friday, April 28, with a team meeting at 6 p.m. at Holland College in Charlottetown followed by a workout.

On April 29, the camp shifts to the Norton Diamond Soccer Complex in Stratford, from 1-3 p.m., for 40-yard time trials and field drills.

On Sunday, April 30, camp starts at 9 a.m. in Stratford with team field drills and play development. Prospect drills and play development goes 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The final two hours, from 4-6 p.m., goes at UPEI.

Registration is $10. Football equipment will be supplied, but participants must bring cleats, sneakers, T-shirts and shorts, and outerwear for the last segment at UPEI.
