CRAPAUD, P.E.I. - The Crapaud Community Curling Club will hold its official reopening in conjunction with an open house on Friday.

The open house starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will be instructors on hand and brooms and sliders are supplied. No curling experience is necessary. Children under 13-years-old are required to wear a CSA approved helmet.

The official reopening goes at 7:30 p.m. It was closed last year because of ice-making equipment failure and club president Susan Hubley is ready to go this season.

“This event provides the opportunity to recognize the many volunteers and supporters who helped make the reopening possible. It is also an opportunity for those interested in curling or renting the facility to stop by, check out the venue and maybe even throw a few rocks. All are welcome,” said Hubley.

Light refreshments will be provided.

The club offers programs such as Sunday and after school programs for youth, and stick curling for seniors. This year the club is also offering drop-in curling on Friday nights.
