Charlottetown adds Massachusetts players to its 2018-19 hopefuls

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Charlottetown Islanders drafted Winchester, Mass., goaltender Tommy Aitken (Selects Hockey Academy) 10th overall and forward Sam Colangelo (Lawrence Academy) 28th overall on Monday in the two-round Quebec Major Junior MJHL American draft.

In 29 games last season, the 15-year-old Aitken had a 1.26 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage.

Colangelo, a 16-year-old native of Stoneham, Mass., tallied 13 goals and 42 points in 29 games with Lawrence.

Later this month for the Islanders is the Canadian Hockey League import draft. Charlottetown has the 28th and 88th picks.
