ALBERTON – Tristan Cahill provided the offensive spark for the Western Regals on Saturday night.
Cahill netted a hat trick to lead the Alberton-based team to a 6-3 decision over the Central Attack from Charlottetown in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game at the Jacques Cartier Arena.
Ethan Oliver, Thomas Shea and Kane Anderson also scored for the Regals, who upped their record to 5-4-1 (won-lost-tied). Matt Williams (2), Aydan Kinch, Conor Horne, Alex Huthinson, Riley Avery and James Doyle earned assists.
Connor Jones (2) and Emmett Lyons replied for the Attack (4-6-0). Matthew McAulay (3) and Patrick Young drew helpers.
The Regals held period leads of 2-0 and 3-0.
Cole Gallant earned the goaltending win.
