MORELL, P.E.I. – It’s all even as the Northside Gill Construction Brewers downed the Morell Chevies 6-1 on Wednesday and tied the best-of-five Kings County Baseball League semifinal at one game apiece.
Game 3 goes Sunday at 4 p.m. in Morell.
Jordan Stevenson paced the Brewers, pitching a one-hit, 10-strikeout gem for the win.
Northside scored all its runs in the second inning and chased Chevies starter Andrew O’Shea after two frames. Reliever Brett Hicken entered in the third and struck out eight Brewers during the final four innings.
Will Jadis led the Brewers with three hits, while Jason MacLean, Jed MacEwen and Mitch Ryan all had two hits.
Troy Coffin had the lone Chevies hit.
