DARTMOUTH, N.S. — The Baseball Canada national junior men’s baseball championship is in a rain delay.
Team P.E.I. was scheduled to face the host Dartmouth team at noon in the third game of the day. However, neither of the 9 a.m. games have started, and the Baseball Canada website indicates that no games will start before 3 p.m., and likely not until 6 p.m., if at all.
P.E.I. lost its first two games in the 21-under tournament Thursday: 6-0 to Ontario and 4-3 to Saskatchewan.
The Island representative, made up of players from across the province, is scheduled to close out round-robin play against Quebec on Saturday afternoon.
