Peakes Tee, Stratford pick up wins in KCBL action

Josh Coffin scattered three hits over five innings and Dillon Doucette hit a mammoth home run to salt the game away as the Peakes Tee Bombers crushed the Cardigan Clippers 11-0 in Kings County Baseball League action Sunday.

The Bombers broke open a scoreless game in the third inning with nine runs, four of them off Clippers starter Quinn Hughes.

Top batters for the Bombers were Doucette, 2-for-3 with a home run and a pair of RBI, Rob Phelan 2-for-3 with three RBI, and Tyson McInnis 2-for-3 with a double.

Cardigan was led at the plate by Dean Carroll 1-for-1, Charles MacLellan 1-for-2, and Kevin MacLeod 1-for-2.

Stratford 9, Northside 5

Ryne MacIsaac had three hits to lead the Alley Stratford Athletics past the Northside Brewers 9-5 Sunday.

Winning pitcher was Corey Dougay while Adam Smith picked up the save in relief.

Tyson Blue suffered the loss with relief from Brian Linton.

Also aiding the Athletics at the plate were Randy Taylor, Dougay and Jacob Smith, chipping in two hits each.

Jayden Maclean and Mitch Ryan had two hits each to pace the Brewers.
