Jays crush Expos in Kings County Baseball League play

The host Charlottetown Jaysdefeated the Charlottetown Action Aero Expos 13-3 in six innings Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.

The Jays were led by a strong pitching performance by veteran lefty and Summerside native Blair Creelman, who went the distance giving up five hits and striking out seven for the win.

The Expos scored two in the first and one in the top of the fourth to take a 3-1 lead.

The Jays bats came alive scoring five in the bottom of the fourth, added six more runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Mike Roberts led the way, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs while Travis Thibideau and Dunker Carroll were both 2-for-4.

The Expos top batter was Ben Ladner (2-for-3), who also came in to relieve losing pitcher Andrew Arsenault.

The Jays are back in action Tuesday night in Morell against the Mudhens.
