CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes wrap up their Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association (CCBA) schedule this weekend.

The Hurricanes will play a pair of games in Halifax against Dalhousie University (2-7) on Saturday afternoon before hosting the St. FX X-Men (4-4) at Memorial Field on Sunday at noon and 2:30 p.m. The Hurricanes lead the CCBA Atlantic Division at 6-0.

“The guys always have an extra jump in their step when we play at home,” said Holland College head coach Andrew MacNevin. “The atmosphere is great to compete in, and we are looking forward to wrapping up the CCBA schedule with a pair of games against a very competitive St. F.X. team.”

Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Mainland Commons Field. Ryan Abraham, of Halifax, is expected to start Game 1 for the Hurricanes. Abraham is 2-0 with a 3.50 earned-run average (ERA) through his first two starts of the season. Tyler Johnston (2-0, 0.70 ERA) is the Hurricanes probable starter for Game 2.

The Hurricanes host the second-place X-Men in the team’s final home date of the season. Chandler LaPorte is projected to take the mound to face the X-Men.

LaPorte (1-0, 7.00 ERA) is looking for a bounce-back start after surrendering three runs in two innings against the UNB Reds on Sept. 16.

Charles MacLellan (0-0, 2.80 ERA) is expected to get the ball for the second game Sunday.
