Chevies race past Expos in KCBL play

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Morell Chevies erased a 3-2 deficit with a four-run fourth inning and held on to edge the Charlottetown Expos 6-5 Sunday in Kings County Baseball League action in Charlottetown.

Andrew O’Shea picked up the win. Darcy Affleck pitched the final two frames for the save.

Jeremy Koughan suffered the loss, with relief from Tyler Johnston.

Scott Harper paced the Chevy attack at Memorial Field with four hits in five trips, while Mike Ellsworth, Avery Arsenault and Troy Coffin each added a pair of hits.

For the Expos, Jordan Duffy, Kris McGuirk and Elijah Hood all collected two hits.

The teams meet again Wednesday in Morell. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
