Charlottetown senior baseball Islanders on road versus Ironmen

Start time for the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League game is 7:30 p.m.

Charlottetown (2-9) has lost five straight games, including defeats last weekend to the Fredericton Royals and the Moncton Fisher Cats, while Chatham (8-5) looks to return to the win column after a 2-0 loss to the Saint John Alpines last Sunday.

Brady Arsenault (0-1-0, 4.50 ERA) gets the start for the Islanders on the mound. Arsenault has 11 strikeouts in his 12 innings of work this season.

The Isles will have P.E.I. Junior Islanders players Ryne MacIsaac and JJ Oram with the team in Chatham.

Chatham’s Cody Dickson is second in the league in batting average (.350), while teammate Jeff Watkin (.333) is in a three-way tie for second in home runs (2) and a two-way tie for RBIs (9).

Brody McDonald leads the Islanders with a .273 batting average, while Dillon Doucette, Arsenault, McDonald and Jordan Stevenson each have two RBIs.

The Islanders also have a Canada Day doubleheader versus Chatham in Charlottetown July 1 at Memorial Field. Game 1 start time is 2 p.m.
