The Capital District Islanders went 3-0 in round-robin play of the 13-under/peewee AAA eliminations to advance to the finals where they defeated Summerside Chevys 10-6 in the championship game.
The Islanders will represent Baseball P.E.I. as Team P.E.I. at the Baseball Canada National Atlantic 13U Championships in Summerside, Sept. 13-16.
The Islanders also recently won the Summerside peewee AAA tournament, tying Fredericton, and beating teams from Truro, Halifax and Dieppe.
