Chevys look to advance to midget AA final

Summerside meets Fredericton at 11:30 p.m. in semifinal

The Summerside Team One Chevys are the 2017 P.E.I. Midget Baseball League champions. The Chevys defeated the Cardigan/Northside team 5-3 in the final game in Stratford on Monday night. STRATFORD, P.E.I. – The Summerside Team One Chevys play New Brunswick’s Fredericton Royals today at 11:30 p.m. in the Atlantic midget AA baseball championship in Stratford.

The winner meets the St. John’s Capitals from Newfoundland and Labrador in the final at 2:30 p.m. Both games are at MacNeill Field.

All three teams finished the round robin with 3-1 records.
