SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – The Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack used a two-goal second period to fuel its 5-2 win over the Summerside Capitals Wednesday in P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League action in Summerside.
Central was down 2-1 in the second until Patrick Young (1-2) and Caden Kelly connected six minutes apart and gave Central a 3-2 edge at the intermission.
Luke Dillon (1-1) and Kyle Martin polished off the Caps with goals in the third. Jake MacMillan (1-1) netted Central’s first-period score. Matt Dibacco (3) and Dylan MacDonald (2) chipped in multi-assist games.
Parker Cameron and Parker Gallant tallied Summerside’s markers
Matthew Halliwell earned the win over Devin Newberry.
Central outshot the Caps 40-22, including 14-5 in the third, and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
Summerside was 0-for-8 with the extra man.
