The up-coming byelection in District 11 promises to be an interesting one. The four candidates come from diverse backgrounds and political perspectives and I sincerely hope Islanders get a chance to hear them first hand via a political debate/forum.
This byelection matters, not only to folks in District 11, but ultimately to all Islanders, as it is an opportunity to elect someone with a new perspective to our government, rather than the same ole song and dance we have been burdened with for as long as I can remember.
There is no better way to inform Islanders about where candidates stand on a variety of issues than seeing first-hand how they handle themselves in the public arena.
With time being so short, debates/public forums are the absolute best way for Islanders to get all the information they need to make an informed choice on November 27.
