LETTER: Route residents often forgotten

Published on September 13, 2017

I went to Tim Hortons at sunrise recently to get my morning tea.

Note I live three minutes at most from the Grafton Street Tims. On my way home, due to blocked off roads on the Pride Parade route a short time later that morning, it took 10 minutes of zigzagging side streets until I found access to my road to get home.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for celebrating your beliefs and all, but when setting up your parade routes, think of us folks who live on it because living three minutes away and taking 10 minutes to get home is unacceptable.
