LETTER: Wasting dollars; not helping needy
I recently read an article in the Guardian in which Pat Mella said she was thrown under the bus by the MacLauchlan government.
My, how times change. A front-page article in The Guardian (April 12, “Parking Problem”) mentioned that high school students were launching a petition against their school over a lack of parking space.
The article went on to say that the school has approximately 110 parking spaces for 900 students. No doubt that is a problem these days when so many young people have their own cars. Certainly makes one feel old, though, to think that when I was going to high school you were lucky to have a bicycle, let alone a car.
