Ralph Manning a real Islander

Recently I saw in the media where applications were being accepted for the Order of Prince Edward Island. I submitted a very heartfelt application, for a worthy recipient; however, I was unaware that the award could not be designated posthumously. I felt and still feel that the late Ralph Manning Jr. was the boy next door, who made many accomplishments, and was a real ambassador for Prince Edward Island, with his involvements with UPEI teams, the Storm, and his compassion within his physiotherapy practice.

Although he cannot receive the distinction of the Order of Prince Edward Island, alongside his mother Maylee Manning, I know in many hearts, he will be remembered and loved as a real Islander.
