Plastic bag use must be reduced

Editor: My husband and I were selling daffodils for three evenings last week for the Cancer Society at the Superstore. It was fun and worthwhile and people were very generous and they loved the yellow hint of spring.

During the 10 hours there we could not help but notice the thousands of plastic bags leaving that store. This government has the responsibility to impose a hefty fee for bag usage. We, the government, must step up and do the right thing as we are ruining the Earth’s ecological system.

Please Mr. Ghiz, do the right thing.
